WEEKLY UPDATE #24

October 16, 2017

"Hey everyone!! This week was really great. My companion and I had a lot of success. I also broke a personal record for new investigators (14) and lessons taught (20 something hahaha). We were super busy and worked like animals. Another person from my district in the CCM went home, that makes (4/7) wow! Don't worry though she told me she's gonna return. Also my first companion from the CCM will get here next Monday!! I don't have much more to say but here's some photos!!"

Davis said, "Everyday the sun is super hot and there's never clouds." You can see he has a major tan (burn?) line in the videos he sent.

I asked Davis to send us a video so we can see him speaking Spanish. This was Take 1. Looks like Elder McDonald and Elder Tuz have a lot of fun!

Take 2. Davis apologized for being so awkward. He said it was tough for him to switch back and forth between the languages. Elder Tuz is Spanish speaking and trying to learn some English. I think they're both pretty cute. I love seeing them enjoying eachother and laughing.

Not sure where he took these pictures. I'll have to ask him in my next email. Pretty cool though!

Davis said that in Chihuahua they celebrate both Halloween and Day of the Dead because they are so close to the border. Day of the Dead is the first 2 days in November. He said he can't wait to experience it.

He said they've been super busy this week! He said they're always working and he loves it!!

His Zone Leader's mom posted the following on Mexico Chihuahua Mission Family and Friends FB page: "I shared with Nick a ‘small world moment’ this last week when I read Elder McDonalds blog update and he mentioned his comp, Elder Tuz, was from Playa Del Carmen — where Ed and I were enjoying a lovely escape!!

Nick responded favorably to the idea that we take the family back after he gets home next year, then added “McDonald and Tuz are basically the hardest working Missionaries I’ve ever worked with”!

Way to rock it Elder McDonald!! Jodi Wiberg McDonald you can be super proud of that missionary of yours!!"

Needless to say, IT MADE MY DAY!!!! Thank Julia!!!
